Users of illegal Windows have lost cryptocurrency due to a new virus.

Experts have found several unofficial builds of Windows software with a built-in Trojan virus, “Clipper.231.” These are the OS versions that users have downloaded from torrents.

The malware runs through the task scheduler and creates a new disk, mounting a new EFI partition and implementing the rest of the software components. After that, the virus is introduced into the system, and the installation files are deleted.

Trojan.Clipper.231 monitors the clipboard’s contents and changes the copied wallet addresses to the attacker’s addresses.
